Travel Support
We will be able to provide limited financial support to students
(and possibly non-students)
for travel and accommodations.
If you are interested in this, please submit your application
to the local organizers (qpl2014org [at] mmm.is.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp),
by Wed 7 May

The application should include:
- a brief description of your motivation (a few lines will suffice);
- a brief letter of recommendation from your supervisor (this can be sent separately; make sure it arrives also before the deadline);
- a brief itinerary of your trip;
- One of our sources (RIMS, Kyoto University)
requires that your trip is simply between your affiliated institution and Kyoto University. Dropping by e.g. at Tokyo might be allowed (in which case the trip from Tokyo to Kyoto is not covered); but trips like UK -> Kyoto -> Canada -> UK can't be supported by the RIMS money. Complying with this RIMS guideline can therefore increase your chance of being supported.
- whether you have access to funding from other sources, and how much.
For non-students: you won't need a recommendation letter. Please note however that priority is given to students.
